It was a very rainy day at This is the Place Heritage Park in eastern Salt Lake City on June 12, 2010. About 30 descendants of Dewey A. Whipple met for their family reunion.

Here is a view of Salt Lake Valley from the William Atkin Home. (Dewey's grandfather, Edson Whipple, was among those present when Brigham Young said "This is the right place" in July 1847.
