Located at 1073 Great Road in Lime Rock, Rhode Island, this house stands on part of the original William Whipple property, granted to his father Captain John Whipple in 1660. Parts of the house were built by William Whipple Jr., with additions by William Whipple III and his nephew Jesse Whipple. Jesse sold the house to relatives of his aunt Sarah Whipple Aldrich in 1807.
