Whipple Block, Lebanon, N.H.

The Whipple Block is located at 2 West Park Street, Lebanon, New Hampshire. It was built in 1882, architected by I. F. Davis and built by Muchmore and Whipple (possibly Lyman Whipple, a prominent local builder). It originally contained the Masonic Temple and a Public Hall on the top floor known as the Whipple Hall. It had stores on the ground floor and offices on the second floor. It was gutted by fire in 1894 and 1930. (Source: Lebanon Historical Society, Lebanon, New Hampshire)
