C. M. Whipple & Co., Westfield, Mass. One Dollar coin. Legal Tender. Charles M. Whipple (1828-1908) was a whip maker in Westfield. This Whipple Dollar is sometimes referred to as HK-832. Likely dates from about 1878.

The back side of this dollar is mirror image of the front. Also, the back side is recessed into the coin(!!).
