George's photos of clocks came with few accompanying descriptions. Most (if not all) of them were likely manufactured by The Parker & Whipple Company of Meriden, Connecticut. That company was organized in 1868 by John E. Parker and H.J.P. Whipple. In 1880 the company added novelty timepieces and alarm clocks.
