Among George Carroll Whipple III's photos of books by and about Whipples are six written by A. B. C. (Addison Beecher Colvin) "Cal" Whipple (1918-2013). He was a war correspondent, an associate editor at Life Magazine, and later an exeutive editor at Time-Life Books. He authored at least 21 books, written largely about oceanic subject.
