During his lifetime, Blaine Whipple (1930-2015) of Portland, Oregon, did extensive research on the Whipple families of America, focusing on the descendants of brothers Matthew and Elder John Whipple of Ipswich, MA and Capt. John Whipple of Dorchester, MA-Providence, RI.

From 2005 until the end of his life, Blaine maintained a web site at BlaineWhipple.com, where he offered many of his books for sale. Unfortunately, since his death, that web site has become unreachable.
